Alchemy powers the digital lab of the future. 

The Alchemy platform integrates the features of disconnected, legacy lab software into suites of customized lab applications, so our customers can speed product development. We do this quickly and efficiently, with our “no-code” process automation platform, dynamically generating applications based on types of lab work, test methods, lab equipment and organizational structure. Our customers get digital best practices in 60 days per lab which help them bring new products to market faster and more cost effectively. 

Job Summary

Alchemy is looking for an experienced product marketer to build and scale our go-to-market foundation as our Head of Product Marketing. This role will sharpen and magnify Alchemy’s overall brand strategy and product positioning, spanning strategic content creation and product marketing. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in Alchemy’s success as it continues to grow 4x+ year on year. This position is best filled by someone with both a brand- and  company-building mindset who is excited about working closely with the CEO to determine how best to scale up Alchemy’s marketing motion, accelerate sales, and inform its brand strategy and top of funnel activities. The ideal candidate is someone who can develop impactful strategies, has a gift for storytelling in a variety of mediums, understands account-based marketing strategies, and who has the ambition and potential to run a cross-functional marketing team in the near future. Creativity, writing, analytical skills, energy and the ability to work effectively and enthusiastically with a growing team are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Take the core company and product messaging to the next level
  • Accelerate sales with high-quality content, product demos and sales tools for every stage of the sales process working closely with key Sales, Product and Customer Success team members
  • Accelerate marketing with content that can be used programmatically in demand generation working closely with the Head of Demand Generation
  • Develop intimate knowledge of Alchemy’s platform and capabilities and how they relate to customer needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of the buyer journey and customer impact.
  • Collateralize customer case studies and perform impact analyses including ROI
  • Own content creation of product marketing collateral for our corporate marketing site and other forms of digital and print collateral, customer case studies, short and long-form thought leadership, contributed articles, industry presentations and speaking engagement collateral
  • Own analyst relations
  • Review and refine packaging and pricing
  • Collect and analyze marketing metrics to continuously improve overarching strategy and underpinning tactics which drive the greatest positive impact
  • Manage product marketing budget and monthly, quarterly and annual board reviews
  • Develop staffing plan sharing a full-time designer from day 1 as well as budget for additional product-marketing specific resources
  • Work collaboratively with Alchemy Sales, Product, Customer Success and Technology teams as appropriate to successfully drive marketing activities
  • Work collaboratively with Founders to inform go-to-market strategy and scale marketing across segments and geographies

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience product marketing vertical software or SaaS with an account-based marketing motion
  • Experience with high-performance account-based marketing strategies
  • Experience with scientific software or strong personal interest in science and innovation
  • Excellent writer and storyteller
  • Highly self-motivated and an exceptional collaborator with design, sales, product and technology team members
  • Loves learning and has an entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action
  • Bonus - ideal candidate would have been a chemistry major in college and is now working in marketing
